I'm proud of my handyman

Though most homes in Helsinki (that I have seen) have a water sprayer next to the toilet, that doesn't seem to be very standard in Prague.  And while we don't use it all the time to 'refresh' ourselves, it is a game-changer if you have a household member wearing cloth diapers.  I understand that the standard thing to do if you don't have a sprayer is 'dunk' a poo-covered diaper in the toilet and swish it around, thereby loosening said poo, before you throw it in the diaper pail to be washed.  As you can imagine, this gets gross in no time.  So...we set about to install our own sprayer, following the directions from here.  It was very challenging, because of course we're now operating in a place where we don't speak or read the language, and also the hardware available is quite different.  And of course here they don't have the kitchen sink sprayers like in the US, so we were using the one bidet sprayer we found in Bauhaus.  Kimmo did a great job figuring everything out and installing it, and now we have a sprayer!
Here is a close-up of the attachment.
You have to reach down and open the water valve before the water comes into the sprayer.

  1. That is extremely impressive!!!! Perhaps you'd like to make one for your mum-in-law when you next come to America??? At least you can read the directions there! Wow....
